Friday, March 23, 2012 (Institute of Process Engineering, New Main Building, Corner of Chengfu Rd./North Zhongguancun 2nd Street, Room 221-223): 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Abstract:
I'll present the latest progress in the development of GAMER, which is an adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) code with graphic-processing-units (GPU) acceleration. The code solves the hydrodynamic equations with self-gravity, and I'll focus on the optimization strategies, scalability, and current astrophysical applications of the code. In addition, GAMER can also serve as a GPU+AMR framework for general-purpose usage, which will also be addressed in the talk.
